Why We Are Fully On Board With Large Format Porcelain
Currently, as the sole content creator, website designer, and licensed real estate agent for jackschobergrealestate.com, I (Jack Schoberg) have seen many large-format granite, marble, and stone projects of flooring, kitchens, countertops, and bathrooms & showers, most all of them looking modern and clean, and complementing the space nicely. After recently discovering the building product of – large format porcelain slabs – and viewing several of the websites of the suppliers of this product, there’s no doubt that some of the projects that I thought were natural stone were actually porcelain. You can not tell the difference (at least online, or to the untrained eye), that’s how good it looks! ..and that’s the first reason why I’m fully on board with large format porcelain slabs. So let’s knock the thinset off of our square-notched trowels and work our way through the remaining reasons that we are on board, fully, with large format porcelain slabs.
The analogy just mentioned is for anyone that has experience as a tile setter, or has maybe taken on a small tile project as a DIY’er. It also brings us to the next reason why we are pro large format porcelain slabs, they can be installed without the use of expensive equipment or speciality tools and slabs are installed using the same basic tools as required for traditional tile installations. This means that with a little remodeling know how, and some inexpensive tools from Lowes or Home Depot (such as the previously mentioned, square notched trowel, $6.67 Home Depot)
